Alaska building codes for roof replacement

Alaska has no mandatory statewide residential code. What applies depends on the jurisdiction that issues the permit.

The latest edition of the Alaska state building code is based on the 2021 IBC, is mandated statewide, and is effective as of 10/28/2022. The previous edition was based on the 2012 IBC. No residential code is mandated statewide.
