The latest edition Arkansas Fire Prevention Code (2012 edition) is based on an outdated IBC and IRC (2012 IBC and 2012 IRC), is mandated statewide, and is effective as of 01/01/2014. The previous edition was based on the 2006 IBC and 2006 IRC and was effective until 12/31/2013. Arkansas is reviewing the 2021 IBC & IRC for adoption.
