Connecticut building codes for roof replacement
Connecticut enforces a residential code statewide.
The latest edition of Connecticut's State Building Code is based on the 2021 IBC and 2021 IRC, is effective as of 10/01/2022, and is mandated statewide. The previous edition was based on the 2015 IBC and 2015 IRC and was effective from 10/1/2018 until 9/30/2022. The 2024 IBC and IRC were expected to take effect on 7/1/2026 but is now expected to be delayed as it awaits approval by the Legislative Review Committee of the Connecticut General Assembly.
