The 2020 Minnesota State Building Codes are the current building codes in Minnesota. They are based on the 2018 IBC and 2018 IRC, are effective as 03/31/2020, and are mandatory statewide. The previous codes were based on the 2012 IBC and the 2012 IRC and were effective until 3/30/2020.
