New Hampshire building codes for roof replacement
New Hampshire enforces a residential code statewide.
The New Hampshire State Building Code is mandatory statewide and is based on the 2021 IBC & IRC after the six-month transition period ended on 1/1/2025. The previous State Building Code was based on the 2018 IBC and 2018 IRC from 7/1/2022 to 12/31/2024. The edition prior to that was based on the 2015 IBC and 2015 IRC, and was effective from 09/15/2019 to 6/30/2022.
