Ventilation / ridge vent
Box vents would have been sufficient.

How to answer it
Name the product before the quantity. These are two different line items and they are not measured the same way: a continuous ridge vent runs in linear feet, while box, turbine and turtle vents are counted each. In the estimates on file the counted vents outnumber the linear ones by a wide margin, so a linear quantity on a roof that carries turbines invites an immediate refusal. Like kind and quality — photograph the existing system.
Put this in the supplement before they ask
Ridge ventilation and box vents are different assemblies with different quantities and different intake requirements.
What you need in the file
- photo of existing vent system
- which ventilation product is installed and how many — a continuous ridge vent is measured in linear feet, box, turbine and turtle vents are counted each
Writing this into a supplement?
ScopeQueue reads the carrier estimate and your roof photos and writes the items the estimate left off, each with the reason behind it and the measurement it rests on. Your first file is free.
